Puzzle No. 25: "Pick Me!"

Hi friends!

Oldie but goody for the blog today — I made this grid nearly a year ago, at this point, and while it's done a bit of languishing in my "On the shelf" folder, I still think the theme is a really interesting lexical find.

There are more trade-offs in short fill than I try to make these days (lookin' at you, 60-Down), but it's fun to look back and see the ways in which, with tons and tons of practice, I've grown as a constructor since first putting this buddy together.
