From Erica: "This is my first puzzle to be out in the world! Big thanks to Matthew for giving it a home. This was a tricky theme to work out, and I hope that there's a nice aha moment when it clicks. I started constructing puzzles last fall, and I've been repeatedly blown away by the kindness of the crossword community. I've had a handful of formal and informal mentors (including Matthew) who have been so helpful, encouraging, and generous.
Paying that good energy forward, I recently started the Expanded Crossword Name Database, which is a crowd-sourced wordlist of prominent women and/or people of color. The website includes dictionary text file downloads for your constructing software and a spreadsheet with short bios on all the entries. I hope that it helps folks add some freshness to their grids!"
